I believe that blogging can be a fun way to review what I have learned in class each day. Instead of reading books, I try to write interesting sentences from what I have learned in class. Like my previous blog, it may not be the most interesting blog, but it not only helped me become familiar with vocabs (which happen to be on the quiz the day after), but also solidified my understanding of Lesson 4. Also, I think it would really help to write a short (1-2 sentences) blog each day just to remind myself what I already know and try to incorporate new materials.
Also, my computer automatically translates(?) what I type in hiragana into kanji. Is my computer the only one that does this?

何時ですか?
皆さん,少し疲れた。It is almost 二時です。
during the last class, we learned A LOT, but it really helps me that i know 韓国語
for instance, 新聞 is 신문 (shin moon), 医者 is 의사 (eu sah), and for counting...
ichi ni san yon go roku shichi hachi kyu ju hyaku sen man--> 日本語
il yi sam sa oh yuk chil pal gu ship bek chun man--> 韓国語
it is really interesting for me to see so many similar sounds between japanese and korean
and although we may be really different, the two langauges, having so much in common, may suggest otherwise??

六本木ヒルズ
Before coming to コロンビア大学, I went to 六本木ヒルズin 東京 with my bestest friend Komaki. Fortunately, the town was having its annual summer festivals in the streets. Komaki and I first went to a ゆかた(浴衣)store and bought my own yukata. In my classy 浴衣, we went to the streets. We ate a lot, although I forget their names, and played games such as catching a turtle with a paper fan. Then, we joined the bon odori dance. As the taiko drummer played his drum to the music, the dance instructors demonstrated the moves. It was so much fun! Once I learn enough Japanese, I would really like to go back there!!
